Blood Tests
Because of limited appointment time we ask where possible if patients can have their blood tests done at one of the venues below. In special circumstances blood tests may be done in the surgery.
- Trafford General Hospital Monday to Friday 7.30am-midday (Outpatient Dept. room 59)
- Woodsend Clinic Monday 9am-11am
- Partington Health Centre Tuesday and Friday 9am-11am
- Delamere Centre Thursday 9am-11am
- Sainsbury’s Urmston Monday to Friday 7.30am-8.30am (only for appointment pre-booked by telephone on 975 4740 – call between 1.30 and 4.30 Monday to Friday)
Keeping Healthy
Our Practice has an extensive Health Care Preventative Medical Service.
Some of these clinics are run by our Practice Nurses and midwives and some by the Doctors. You may be invited by letter to attend these clinics or if you feel you will need to attend then call to book an appointment.

Anxiety and low mood Self refer to Trafford counselling services by completing an online form here. Alternatively, you could try one of the web based cognitive behavioural therapy services like Moodgym or Living Life to the Full.
Dressings clinic For wounds and burns the District Nurses provide dressings and advice. Call 8640300 for an appointment at the Delamere Centre or 7467283 for an appointment at Woodsend clinic

Free Treatment Is available without prescription at some pharmacies for Emergency Contraception and for Head Lice amongst other things. Ask the pharmacist.
Lloyds in Urmston also offers free emergency contraception (0161 7482966). If you need emergency contraception then you should make an appointment at the surgery afterwards to discuss regular contraception.
